USV Services
G.O.S.L Nigeria Limited delivers cutting-edge Uncrewed Surface Vessel (USV) services for offshore data acquisition, environmental monitoring, and hydrographic surveys. Our USVs provide precise, efficient, and cost-effective survey operations while minimizing risk and operational downtime.
Overview
USV Services
Our USVs allow for remote, autonomous offshore survey operations, enabling continuous data collection in conditions that are challenging for traditional crewed vessels. These systems are designed to perform hydrographic, geophysical, and environmental surveys with reduced mobilization time, lower operational costs, and improved safety standards.
With real-time data transmission and autonomous navigation, our USVs ensure high-resolution survey results while limiting human exposure to offshore risks.
Our Core Capabilities Include:
Our fleet of Uncrewed surface vessels (USVs) offers a smarter, safer, cleaner and more efficient way to collect high-quality hydrographic data. with their shallow draft, they are the ideal choice for hydrographic surveys in inland waterways, ports, harbours, and nearshore coastal zones.
- Hydrographic Surveys
- Environmental Monitoring
- Pipeline & Cable Route Surveys
- Offshore Asset Inspections
- Rapid Deployment Surveys
KEY AUTOMATION FEATURES INCLUDE:
- Waypoint Autonomy – Automated navigation along predefined routes
- Heading Control – Maintaining a precise course
- Station-Keeping – Holding position even in dynamic conditions
- Manual Joystick Mode – Operator-controlled Maneuverability When Needed
GOSL-47 USV
The GOSL-47 is a hybrid battery-powered Uncrewed Surface Vessel designed for extended offshore survey operations. Built for endurance and efficiency, it delivers high-precision bathymetric and sub-bottom data with minimal crew involvement.
Key Capabilities:
- Size & Build: A 4.7-meter USV with a marine-grade aluminium or robust alloy construction. Modular and demountable design.
- Propulsion & Power: Fully electric with twin outboard motors (Torqeedo Ultralight 1103 in some configurations) using battery packs.
- Payload Flexibility: Capable of carrying various sensors — multibeam echosounders, sub-bottom profilers, side-scan sonar etc. Configurable payload bays.
- Up to 72 hours endurance with hybrid battery + generator system.
- Advanced navigation and autonomy with Virtual Watchkeeper control system.
- Rim-driven electric propulsion for efficiency and reduced entanglement risk.
Notable Points:
- GOSL acquired the GOSL-47 USV from HydroSurv for hydrographic and geophysical survey operations in Nigeria.
- Payload includes a Ping DSP 3DSS-IDX interferometric sonar and Innomar Compact Parametric Sub-Bottom Profiler, enabling concurrent wide-swath bathymetric mapping and sub-bottom imaging.
- It can sustain survey operations for up to 72 hours using a battery-hybrid system (12 kW battery + 4 kW generator).
GOSL-28 USV
The GOSL-28 is a compact, battery-electric Uncrewed Surface Vessel designed for inland, sheltered water, nearshore, and landfall survey operations. It complements G.O.S.L’s larger GOSL-28 USV by enabling agile, precise surveying in locations where larger or longer-endurance vessels are less practical.
Key Capabilities:
- Size & Build: A 2.8-meter USV with a marine-grade aluminium or robust alloy construction. Modular and demountable design.
- Propulsion & Power: Fully electric with twin outboard motors (Torqeedo Ultralight 1103 in some configurations) using battery packs.
- Payload Flexibility: Capable of carrying various sensors — multibeam echosounders, sub-bottom profilers, side-scan sonar etc. Configurable payload bays.
- Operational Suitability: Designed for inland or nearshore conditions
Notable Points:
- GOSL acquired the GOSL-28 USV from HydroSurv for hydrographic and geophysical survey operations in Nigeria.
- Payload configuration includes a Ping DSP 3DSS-IDX interferometric sonar and Innomar Compact Parametric Sub-Bottom Profiler, enabling simultaneous wide-swath bathymetric mapping and high-resolution sub-bottom imaging.
- Advanced navigation and autonomy with Virtual Watchkeeper control system.
