The rapid growth in the offshore business has brought about the need for cutting edge technology therefore; GOSL recently purchased the Mohawk Inspection Class ROV to offer Offshore Pipeline Surveys, Inspection Surveys and Tooling Capabilities in order to support the growing need of their clients.

Due to the challenges affecting the ROV’s as regards to the stability of the system under heavy water current, GOSL having realized the benefits of the solution offered by the SeeByte’s SeeTrack Copilot software purchased a SeeTrack license to accompany the Mohawk to aid ease of piloting and maintain stability.
The system was demonstrated to the Managing Director Mr.Emanuel Ekpeyong at the sub- Atlantic test tank in Blackburn, Aberdeenshire on Tuesday 12th, April 2011.

GOSL TEST RUNS AND TAKES DELIVERY OF A MARPORT SQX – 500
GOSL is taking delivery of an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) developed by Marport Deep Sea Technology and the Institute of Ocean Technology of St. John’s Newfoundland. It is designed for search and survey applications in waters up to 500M.
The Seabyte AutoTracker was installed in the AUV. The AUV had its first ever Sea trials in Newfoundland, Canada which was a success.
